Background Information
Education
John graduated from Colfax High School in 1959. He then continued his education at Washington State University, where in 1963 he earned a degree Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and in 1965, he earned his MBA.
Working at KUP
John joined the firm in 1970, became a partner in 1973 and retired in 1998. He still works during tax season to help us out with the heavy workload during that time. John still comes in from time to time during the rest of the year to see to his client's needs. He is a member of the AICPA and the WSCPA. John is currently the treasurer for the Palouse Empire Fair Foundation Board, a past president and current member of Rotary, President of the Colfax Golf Club, past member of the Campfire Board, a past member of the City Council and a current member of the Whitman Hospital and Medical Center Board.
Family
John lives in Colfax with his wife Helen and between them they have seven grown children and eighteen grandchildren.
What John does for Fun
John enjoys fly-fishing (don't ever call it a pole), fly tying, golfing, reading and hunting.
