Background Information
Education
Nona was born in Colfax but moved with her family to Spokane while in grade school. After attending Lewis & Clark High School she enrolled in a local business school, where she learned bookkeeping skills, typing and business machines.
Working at KUP
Nona returned to Colfax after her marriage and worked for the Whitman County Treasurer's office and another local accounting firm before joining the Kirkpatrick, Utgaard & Perry, P.S. team in 1989. She is responsible for all computer input of clients' record keeping data, engagement letters, financial statements, client billings, several payrolls, computer program installation and troubleshooting, and backup procedures. Although she doesn't input the tax returns any longer, as they are now directly input by the accountants, the returns all still go through her as a quality control measure. She can be relied upon for fast and accurate completion of any task.
Family
Nona lives in the country with her husband Rich and they have two grown children and five grandchildren.
What Nona does for Fun
When the children were growing up she enjoyed being a den mother, blue bird leader and attending their sporting events. She is a past president of the Women's Bowling League. She loves to spend time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren, helping her husband with his taxidermy, raising game birds, gardening and reading.
